Media Console

Our signature media console is the perfect mix of modern and mid-century, and it has it all, whether you’re looking for a tv stand, storage cabinet, or credenza. This piece will fit perfectly into your living room, den, or dining room.

The slatted doors nest to create a look similar to an antique speaker box (the audiophiles tell us it’s called a grill cloth cover), and they can be nested on a single side or right in the middle. The piece is made of high-quality layered Baltic birch topped with solid walnut or maple. It’s all real wood here - no particle board, no paper veneer, just layer after layer of real, solid wood.

Take note that each media console comes with an adjustable shelf on each side - shelf pins included. Two holes are cut in the back near the top to feed cords through.

We leave the edges of the media console exposed to highlight the multiple layers, which creates a beautiful, artful, and iconic striped effect, similar to the work of Charles and Raye Eames and Alvar Aalto. In fact - the slats on the doors are made of this same “edge grain” material. And let’s not forget about the legs. Custom made Baltic birch layers, cut on an angle, and a work of art on their own.

(01) Baltic Birch with Walnut/Maple Face
Made using a 13-layer solid wood Baltic birch with a walnut or maple face. Baltic birch is a sustainable product and will be stable as the seasons change, unlike other solid wood furniture pieces.

We have made it our signature look to expose the layers of Baltic birch. Not only does this give a nod to the designers of the mid-century era, it makes every piece a work of art, and a unique, one-of-a-kind, creation.

(02) Finish
Pure Tung Oil, Boiled Linseed Oil, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax. The end result is a durable, water-resistant matte finish that feels like a silky-smooth piece of wood.

(01) How do I care for this product?

Details can be found on our FAQ page. That said, in general, treat the piece with kindness - use coasters, wipe up spills, and don’t put sharp or rough objects on the furniture. A damp cloth is all you need to clean it (definitely no harsh chemicals), and the piece can be refreshed with a bit of furniture wax when needed.

No. It will be ready to go upon delivery or pickup.

To create these legs, Baltic birch layers are laminated together and cut at a 45 degree angle. After some shaping, we are left with a smooth, lathe-turned look, but something completely unique to our brand.
