We have partnered with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for each product that is purchased from us. Every year we request that the trees be planted where the need is the greatest.

The wood that creates our signature look is a Purebond® product from Columbia Forest Products. It is made using urea formaldehyde-free technology - no toxins for us or for you! It is also virtually void free - meaning less waste in the manufacturing and assembly process. What’s more, the plywood meets LEED standards so it can be used anywhere eco-friendly design is desired.

Scrap wood is repurposed from large furniture pieces to make smaller home goods products—in fact, some of our home goods products are designed with specific scrap sizes in mind! What cannot be reused is sent to the Hennepin County Energy Recovery Center, where the waste is burned down to create energy.

We finish our products with a mixture of pure tung oil, boiled linseed oil and wax. This means less harsh chemicals when we are doing the work, and a safer breathing experience for you. It also allows for easy repair when scratches happen.

In addition to offsetting our carbon footprint by planting trees, we also order our materials in bulk, cutting down on the amount of shipping vessels that are used to transport the materials.
